About this Portfolio
Authenticity and Authorship Statement
"All of the artifacts contained in this portfolio are real and genuine materials that were created and used in my professional career. Highly dedicated and competent teams, that I had the honor and privilege to supervise, produced most of the artifacts herein under my guidance, unless otherwise noted. The Mathematics module under Education Programs was developed by myself and two classmates in graduate school, at The School for Education and Human Development at The George Washington University.”
Permission Statement
“I have obtained permission from colleagues and peers for the use of the artifacts included in my portfolio. Many of the artifacts on this website were either materials or infrastructure projects constructed by teams which I oversaw while employed by Save the Children USA. Theses projects were funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, (USAID), under cooperative agreements, or Title II Development Assistance Programs in Bolivia and Bangladesh, or else they were education programs funded by USAID or the U.K. Department for International Development (DFID) and Dubai Cares. As such they are each considered part of the public domain.
In the case of photos, Save the Children graciously granted me permission to use select photos form their archives but I was still lacking images. I therefore looked for similar photos from Shutterstock royalty free images. The ones chosen are properly attributed to Shutterstock.com but are very true to the types of environments in which I have worked. A select few came from my own personal snapshots and any names have been omitted and children faces slightly modified to protect identities when permission has not been able to be obtained. Additionally I have used some photos from reports made public by USAID as is permitted and duly noted.”
Multimedia Authorship
I created the pages and navigation in this web-based portfolio as part of my Master’s in Educational Technology and Leadership studies at The George Washington School for Education and Human Development. This portfolio was created with skillful guidance from my professor, Dr. Natalie Milman, Ph.D., and class peers. I used www.Weebly.com to create it and any deficiencies in construction are surely my own. This is a free tool available on the web and one I hope to introduce to colleagues and friends going forward.
